Backshelf
Type I backshelf (proximity or crossover) hoods are designed for grease- and heat-laden effluent and are smaller in width and require less overhang than a canopy hood. The name “crossover” indicates a design with a blend of proximity and wall canopy hood features. The name “proximity” refers to the close proximity of the hood with respect to the cooking equipment.
